How JGM is responding to COVID-19

What is the case?

With the increased period of lockdown imposed countrywide for an increase in the number of positive cases, helpless families struggle exceedingly to afford essential necessities of daily meals /groceries. Left to face financial burdens due to increased lockdowns, many people are becoming more fearful of not knowing where their next meal comes from.

Some are even on the verge of thinking if their families will be able to survive this epic crisis. With the fear of hunger & hopelessness, these people need us more than ever.

We worked to discover the most helpless and distributed food supplies/ Grocery bag

[ rice, dal, oil, wheat flour&sugar) to 239 families in total needed for a month reaching 4 impoverished communities in 4 different locations /villages to help ease the burden of these people at this unprecedented time.

"Ensuring our community has food security & offering help to help us survive during this outbreak crisis is something that we will be grateful for "

says Jeevamani the elder of this community.

Supporting the Leper community

one of the communities that are most vulnerable to COVID-19 and truly deserve help during these unprecedented times is the Leper community who lives on the outskirts of our city.

Social distancing & self lockdown is a privileged meaning you have enough resources to afford your daily essential necessities like access to food & sustainability. But for these helpless Lepers, it's misery.

To our research in assessing the most affected people, these are our top priority to help to ensure their food security and we made sure their needs are met.

The very following day, we got to the closest mart and purchased hundreds of KGS of daily essential groceries like Rice, oil, dal, wheat flour, and sugar, and our church members volunteered to enable packing and to reach the community.

"God is so gracious, we never reckoned our needs are met this shortly. This is the sufficient need we could receive at these hard times" we should not have to worry about where our next meal comes from says the elder of the community.

Overall 107 leper families received the grocery bags, gave praises to the Lord, and with delighted expressions they reached back residence.

One of our volunteers says "we might actually think a grocery bag isn't great assistance, but a small act of kindness can make a difference to the needy individual"It was exceedingly delightful to notice our team spirit grew up.

our team didn't stop with it. we continued to extend support with our "food relief campaigns" to further meet the essential daily food necessities of 3 more communities reaching an overall number of 239 families.

The URGENT PRESSING NEED

How we are prepared to enact change?

We are committed to helping identified 64 most destitute and affected families by providing food bags needed for a month.

Why is this issue significant to consider?

If we cannot help them to ensure their food safety, their needs will not be met and their children have to suffer starvation.

How could your donations enable us to combat this issue?

A gift of only $12 provides meals for the hungry and enables them to endure in these unprecedented times.

For every donation you make you will receive a report/picture of the family that receives help from you!click below to donate today( Goal to be reached $780)

You can help ease the burden of these people in need by donating whatever you can to our campaign. It is high time that during these difficult times we set aside our differences to come together, unite, and BE AS ONE. You can be that positive change you have been waiting to see in the world.

Alone we can do so little; Together, we can do so much. This too shall pass, and in the end, there’s a bright light waiting for all of us at the end of this dark tunnel. Individually, we are just one drop. TOGETHER, WE ARE AN OCEAN.
